Amethis takes a majority stake in the Magriser Group, a pioneer in the distribution and installation of complete micro-irrigation and solar pumping systems.

Founded in 1987 by Mr. Azzedine Azzouz, the Magriser Group has been one of the precursors in the micro-irrigation sector in Morocco by introducing the water saving technology in the Kingdom. Today, the company offers a complete range of micro-irrigation equipment from pond liners, PVC pipes and micro-irrigation with integrated drippers, to filtration and fertigation systems. In addition to its historical activity of distribution of micro-irrigation equipment, the Group has diversified its range of products by introducing solar pumping systems and has completed its offer of solutions by proposing consulting and installation activities of complete micro-irrigation systems.

In Morocco, a country affected by water stress, 70% of water use is agricultural. Thanks to its advanced micro-irrigation solutions, Magriser helps farmers every day to reduce water input while improving agricultural productivity. Magriser's irrigation systems save 100 million m3 of water each year, the equivalent of the annual consumption of 4 million people in Morocco.

Thanks to its historical expertise, its vast network of distributors, its privileged relationships with leading international suppliers and the strong mobilization of its employees, the Magriser Group has positioned itself as a key player in the sector. With the support of Amethis, Magriser is entering a new phase of growth. The Group plans to launch its own production unit of micro-irrigation pipes by the end of 2021 and has the ambition to deploy in Africa.
